Arthur Kipps, an orphan and draper's apprentice, unexpectedly gets a fortune and is drawn to the high society. His childhood friend, Ann Pornick, watches as the high class lady, Helen Walsingham, gives Arthur a new image and a new life in this high society. Both women love Arthur - but does Arthur chose the upper class socialite, or does he chose his childhood sweetheart? Throughout the show, Arthur learns that money can't solve all problems in life, and he needs to make the right choices to live the life he wants.
The Piddle Valley Players is a friendly group of amateur actors and actresses who put on a musical production once a year. With varying talents, everyone is welcome to join this dramatic society. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7pm and some Sunday afternoons, from September to February at Buckland Newton Village Hall. Some of our most recent productions include “Guys and Dolls”, "South Pacific" and “Oklahoma”.
